[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]T[/dropcap2]hank you to everyone who participated in the Holiday Grief Campaign over the last week. Because of you, people who are hurting were encouraged and comforted. Who knows how many have more hope than they had eight days ago?
Again, thank you.
I would like to close the Holiday Grief Campaign by sharing a simple poem I wrote after writing the last session of the Good Grief Mini-Course a little less than a year ago.
MOVING ON
Move on? How ridiculous.
How can I move on without letting go of you?
That I can never do. That I will not do.
But I know cannot stay here;
So I’ll have to find a way to take you with me.
The task is not moving on without those we’ve lost, but moving with them in a new way. This is part of good grief – grief that heals.
GOOD GRIEF PRINCIPLE: It’s not about moving on without your loved one, but moving on with them in a new way.
How can you move on with your loved one this holiday? I share some answers in Surviving the Holidays without You. Check it out. Give yourself this gift.
The Good Grief Mini-Course is free. It was written to help you navigate the difficult time surrounding the loss of a loved one. You can sign-up at any time. Why wait? Subscribe today .
