[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]W[/dropcap2]hy is next week so important?
On Monday, the Holiday Grief Campaign begins. For many, these holidays are bittersweet. Memories of the past crowd in, and with them we’re reminded of the losses we’ve endured along the way. People are missing this year. They’re on the forefront of our minds, and their absence is numbing. Along with the joy of the season, our hearts ache.
For some of us, the ache threatens to stifle hope. We’re hurting, and we don’t know what to do with the pain during this time of year.
That’s what the Holiday Grief Campaign is all about.
From Dec. 2-9, I’ll be gearing almost all of my content here and on social media toward helping people navigate grief during the holiday season.
Here are the goals of the Campaign:
- To raise awareness about holiday grief and what can be done about it
- To share two healing resources with as many people as possible: Surviving the Holidays without You and the Good Grief Mini-course
- To get as many people as possible involved in the Campaign so that as many people as possible can be helped
The Campaign begins on Monday. If you would like to help, please go to the Contact Gary box below and let me know. There are two simple things you can do that will make a huge difference in people’s live this Christmas. I’d love to share those with you.
If you need help with holiday grief, or would like to help someone who’s hurting, go to the Contact Gary box below and type “What can I do?” I’ll get back to you with more info right away.
