[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]S[/dropcap2]am came out of the bathroom and struggled across the floor using his walker. He took a few short steps at a time. You could see the frustration on his face.
Sam had been an athlete all his life. He had an entire room devoted to trophies, awards, and tennis memorabilia. Now he was standing in the middle of his living room, shaking, unable to take the next step.
He looked at the floor and shook his head. “I can’t do anything anymore,” he exclaimed, and began to weep.
The wounds and losses of life can crush our hearts. The light goes out of our eyes. Hope dies a slow, silent death.
We must find hope – lots of it.
- Velcro our minds to Jesus.
- He jump-starts hearts.
- He resurrects hope.
- He turns disaster into blessing.
- He has a plan.
- He is victorious.
- He will not be thwarted.
- He is hope.
Life may not be what we thought, but Jesus is better than we could have ever dreamed.
