[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]I[/dropcap2]n Matthew chapter 9, we meet two blind men. How they lost their sight, we don’t know. Back in those days, the world was not kind to the handicapped. There were no programs, no resources. The sick, lame, and blind were judged and deemed unclean. The prevalent theological opinion was that they had obviously committed some terrible sin to deserve this.
So we have a couple of beggars on the street, with no hope and no future.
Enter Jesus, the Game-Changer. They hear he’s in town. They are touched by his voice. Something inside them rises and wakes, and they begin to hope. They dare to believe. They decide to take a risk and pursue.
And Jesus restores their sight.
Perhaps you feel trapped and like your life is shrinking. You’re frustrated, going through the motions, and you’re sick of it. You’re desperate for freedom, or at least some wiggle room. You heart is hungry and you want to really live.
You hear Jesus’ voice and something stirs deep within.
Begin to hope. Dare to believe. Take the risk, and pursue. The Game-Changer is still in town.
