[dropcap2 variation=”coffee”]A[/dropcap2] number of years ago, I attended a wedding rehearsal with a western theme. When you entered, they stuck a name tag on you that read “WANTED,” with your name printed underneath. I smiled. I loved it. I keep that nametag in my journal.
The Bible says that God knew you before He created the universe. He planned you. He wanted you.
In the Psalms King David states that God knit you together in your mother’s womb. He personally created you. He wanted you.
Two thousand years before you were born, Jesus Christ died on the cross, for you – thinking about you. He loved you. He wanted you.
It’s wonderful to be wanted. You were. Before the universe or time began. You are. Now.
“But how come I don’t really feel that way?” you ask.
Don’t go there yet. Just sit. Take a moment. Soak in the amazing truth that the God who made all things wanted you – and that He wants you still.
I mean it. Stop. Sit. Soak.
